Background & Purpose of the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly motivated Fragrance Team as a Scientist. This role will handle the fragrance development for multiple Unilever Skin Cleansing brands around the globe. The ideal candidate must have a true passion for fragrance.

This role must liaison with multiple internal and external partners to brief for new fragrances, modify fragrances for technical requirements, and be a key contact for every stage of fragrance development and launch. This person must have a strong sense of smell to ultimately evaluate and make recommendations (will be under supervision of line manager until ready). They must work with our fragrance houses and perfumers to guide them in the creation process to ensure we receive the best quality fragrances with the best fit to our brands.

Who You Are & What You'll Do

This candidate will be a member of our R&D Fragrance Team. They will have a highly visible role owning fragrance development for multiple brands around the world. Daily tasks may include creating briefs for new fragrances and technical adaptations, maintaining fragrance databases, leading evaluation sessions, coordinating and giving feedback on fragrance development, delivering projects on time, project management for multiple fragrance projects.

You're a story teller: You must be fluent in the language of fragrance, bringing it alive for the brands and helping our partners develop the best fragrances possible.

You're a teacher: You must be able to teach everyone around you about the role and benefits of fragrance, the technical challenges, and the global fragrance preferences and differences from one region to another.
