What’s the role about?

The purpose of the Technical Operations team is to lead the development and compliance to, a product safety, legality and quality framework for Waitrose & Partners. Ensuring that via the creation of effective policies, systems, and ways of working we enable the category teams to effectively deploy these standards both internally and within our supply base.

We act as subject matter experts who advise, guide and support to ensure we continue to both delight and protect our customers and strengthen our brand.

The purpose of the role of Product Quality Assurance Coordinator is to support the effective and efficient deployment of the Product Quality Assurance programme. Enabling Waitrose & Partners to manage product quality incidents and support in continually improving our product quality to ensure we meet and exceed our customers expectations.

What will you be doing?

Operations

· 
Coordinate the booking, running and follow up of Quality Improvements sessions with Category Teams and Suppliers

· 
Coordinate the booking, running and follow up of Product Quality Benchmarking sessions.

Customer

· 
Coordinate the completion of online quality improvement comments on WR.com

Communication & Stakeholder Management

· 
Effectively communicate with stakeholders ( e.g. Category Teams and specifically Product Technology Partners) with regards to product quality incidents using a data led approach.

Commercial Sustainability

· 
Ensure that the Quality Improvement Review and Internal Benchmarking panels are being run in the most cost effective manner.

Policy & Compliance

· 
Appropriately chase up outstanding actions that have been agreed via product quality improvement reviews.

What you'll have?

· 
Food Science / Food Technology / Quality Assurance Systems

· 
Some experience of Quality Assurance Systems including sensory evaluation.
