Occasional Saturday working is required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Our Industrial Placement Programme within the HR team will make you see retail in a new light. Our unique Partnership different and approach to business will enable you to get the most out of your placement year. Our placements combine hands on experience with real projects you will also receive relevant on the job training.

In your placement year you will be to support the Personnel Service Centre management team to maximise the team's expertise and knowledge to deliver the best service for all customers. Provides an advisory and administrative service to People Managers, Partners and Retired Partners on a wide range of Partner Lifecycle and policy queries via telephone and email as part of the John Lewis Partnership Personnel Service Centre.

Job Requirements

During your Industrial Placement year you will have a variety of accountabilities and projects,these include but are not limited to :

Identifies trends and collaborates with stakeholders to make recommendations for continuous improvement through process ownership

Ensures the appropriate Partnership policies and procedures are followed

Provides excellent customer service to all People Managers, Partners and Retired Partners, both personally and through coaching / supporting other team members

Supports customers with first point assurance and resolution

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

The minimum application requirements are as follows:

As part of your degree, be able to take a year out in industry commencing July 2020

The assessment centre for this role will be held in November/early December 2019. The placement will start on Monday 6th July 2020.
