As a Software Engineer, you will work DCG/NPG Software development team to deliver security/cryptographic and compression acceleration solutions for leading edge enterprise and communications platforms that will enable tomorrow's Data Centre infrastructure and accelerate cloud computing adoption. You will be a member of a talented team of software engineers with a broad range of experience. The ideal candidate will have the following skills in addition to the qualifications listed below.
- Experience in optimizing software for performance.
- Embedded software development.
- Open Source Software Development.
- Strong knowledge of Linux or Windows Operating System.
- Source control management tools e.g. GIT.
- Experience with quality assurance tools e.g. Gerrit.
- Experience of interacting with Customers.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multisite team.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or related plus 4 years of industry work experience, Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or related plus 3 years of industry work experience, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or related plus industry work experience.
- 4 plus years of experience in C programming skills.
- 2 plus years of experience in understanding of IP Routing technologies and networking protocols.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 plus years of experience with device driver development and/or kernel programming.
- 3 plus years of experience with Security, Cryptography, and Data compression.
- 3 plus years of experience with Intel Architecture/x86 or other multi-core processor.
- 2 plus years of experience with networking technologies and protocol stacks e.g. Ethernet, TCP/IP, IPSec.
- 2 plus years of experience with virtualization technologies e.g. KVM, XEN, QEMU, VMWARE and developing in a virtualized environment.
- 2 plus years of experience with Agile Software development methodology experience.
