What you will be working on:

Cutting edge problems in machine learning systems in one or more of the following areas:

· 
Developing, testing, and evaluating tooling and infrastructure for machine learning on distributed systems.

· 
This includes data and metadata management (Rook, Ground, etc), executing training and inference jobs on distributed infrastructure (Kubernetes, K8S Device Plugins, etc).

· 
Working with the open source machine learning infrastructure community to push the boundary of what is possible and easy.

· 
Depending on a candidate's abilities, self directed research into high impact, high leverage activities around distributed systems, software packaging/deployment (eg Metaparticle.io), machine learning and the intersections among those topics.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
* Bachelors in computer science, electrical engineering or related fields (statistics, applied math, computational neuroscience), or equivalent experience

* Experience in devops, distributed system development, cloud infrastructure.

* Proficiency in one or more Python, Rust, Go, C++. Rough familiarity with machine learning.

* Drive to solve user pain points through iterative feedback and data collection

* Strong software engineering knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Familiarity with DL frameworks (e.g. neon, TensorFlow, Python, etc.)

* Experience in machine/deep learning

* An interest and understanding of market-competitive factors, capability gaps, etc in the computing and machine learning space.

* Understanding of deep learning hardware (CPU, GPU, multi-node)
