We are currently looking for a Touchpoint Co-worker/Host ( Kitchens/Bedrooms/Living Rooms/Home Furnishing Accessories ) to join our Mumbai Market team.

PURPOSE OF FUNCTION

·  To position the IKEA brand in the market so that as many people see IKEA as unique, meaningful, trustworthy and contributing to the sustainable growth of IKEA
·  To inspire customers with vitality, solutions and knowing how people live at home, establishing a Host mentality making customers feel invited and welcomed in the touchpoint
·  To offer products and services which are always affordable, to love and feel proud of.
·  To bring IKEA closer to people by becoming a part of and contributing to the local community

PURPOSE OF JOB

·  Optimise the IKEA shopping experience in your shop to secure satisfied customers and increase sales
·  Maximise sales in your area of responsibility using knowledge of your particular product range, your top sellers, 4 Aces and 1 King and the local market and customers.
·  Inspire our customer to develop relevant and functional home furnishing solutions
·  To serve as a multi- skilled specialist in Home Furnishings, specialising in core business area of Kitchens, Bedrooms, Living Rooms or Home Furnishing Accessories
·  Having the full understanding of the IKEA range and being able to sell despite it is not touch and feel.
·  To always create a positive experience for our customers so they will want to return and shop with us again and again
·  To participate in the IKEA academy sharing expertise in your core business area.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

·  You work as a Host, actively approach customers who you see require additional help. You identify their needs by asking the right questions and advise them on the best solutions for their homes in order to exceed their expectations.
·  You understand how to use the different IKEA sales and communication channels and know-how for the different customers you meet.
·  You keep your area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked, and ensure that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience.
·  You convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits and you share this knowledge with customers and colleagues.
·  You understand the touchpoint and department action plans and are empowered to make decisions in a front led organisation
·  You actively offer all the services available in IKEA to help customers make informed choices, which results in a better shopping experience for them.
·  You ensure you maximise sales whilst maintaining profitability by knowing and actively steering towards the top selling and prioritised products (e.g. overstock/övertag).
·  You demonstrate the ability to analyse and adjust sales space capacities based on system parameters (sales location management) to secure high stock availability.
·  You are familiar with the IKEA social and environmental commitments and know how you can contribute to sustainability.
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

·  The right attitude and behaviour to sell actively and help customers to buy.
·  Understanding of customer behaviour.
·  Understanding and active use of the Selling the IKEA way manual.
·  Knowledge of the IKEA product range, including service products.
·  Knowledge of how to plan kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living rooms tools
·  Sales steering.
·  Sales location management/sales space capacity.
·  Computer literacy
