About you
Do you want to be part of our New Business and Innovations (NB&I) team in Shared Solutions and lead the conceptual technical solutions development within the storage area? Do you want to have big impact on the business and creating a better everyday life for the many people?

We are now looking for a Product Development Engineer to join our Shared Solutions team with focus on storage. To be successful in this role youneed to be an excellent communicatorand have a strong passion for people - tolead, manage, motivate and create togetherness is crucial in this position. You have a conceptual mind-set and an ability to translate our customers' future aspirations into sustainable storage solutions. With a holistic view on strategic business decisions have the capability tobuildstrong relations and trust with stakeholders and team members is essential. Apart from being an experiencedProject Leader the person we are looking for also have working experience within materials, construction, technical solutions and cost calculations, as well as an understanding of and an interest in production. Curiosity, humbleness with stability and eagerness to find new and better ways of doing things are characteristics for the PDE. We expect you to have:

• A proven track record of several years of successfully leading technical projects.

• Strong ability to conceptualize and challenge the existing common ways of working as well as final solutions

• Knowledge of Design and construction

• University degree in Engineering

As a person you are energetic, determined and driven by creating pre-requisite for innovation and problem solving. A sound leadership, always with the team and customer in focus are important aspects!

You will interact and work together with people from all around IKEA and the world. Our corporate language is English, so fluency both verbally and in writing is required.

About the assignment
It is all aboutleading the conceptual technical development of shared storage solutions and to secure creative, production adapted solutions to exceed customer future expectation on our products. It consists of actively searching information and knowledge contributing to technical development and share this amongst the technical specialist. Being able to sketch up future concepts of storage and being able also to make the ideas come to life. The PDE is highly involved in defining the product development project as well as securing the right competence and resources from a technical perspective. The PDE is responsible overall for leading and making sure technical development projects are carried through and delivered in time, and following up on the results.
