About voco™ The Hague

Based in the Royal Quarter, this beautiful former bank building has the city’s shops, museum and heritage locations as well as the embassy quarter and Peace Palace within walking distance. Your day to day

The Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operations of voco™ The Hague including the rooms departments, food & beverage areas, technical services and the overall safety & security within the premises. In this role you will assist in providing day-to-day leadership and direction by maximising financial returns, driving development of people, creating and maintaining a unique guest experience, executing on brand standards, and building awareness of hotel and brand in the local community. You work closely together with your teams to develop and implement property wide and departmental strategies and act as the General Manager in her absence.  Guest and employee satisfaction are two of your priorities. You make sure guests are provided with quality service while maximizing overall revenue and productivity to achieve financial goals of the hotel. In this position, you report to the General Manager and you are part of the Strategic Leadership team to propose and decide on the strategy of the voco™ The Hague.

You are responsible for:

·  Setting up the hotel operations and working with your team to continuously develop and implement operational strategies in all departments by emphasizing on the implementation of voco™ brand standards.
·  Driving & maximizing guests’ satisfaction. Making sure guests are provided with quality service while maximizing room revenue and productivity to achieve financial goals of the hotel.
·  Developing and guiding managers and colleagues to make sure all individuals can be the best version of their selves. Improving their performance through coaching & feedback and create performance and development goals. 
·  Driving results and consistently deliver & inspire others by leading by example.
·  Creating and ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and team members in compliance with regulatory policies and procedures.
·  Working with the Strategic Leadership team to develop the strategic plan and departmental budgets. Ensuring that revenue, reputation and market share goals are achieved, and results are monitored.
·  Developing awareness and reputation of voco™ The Hague, Ultramarijn & Botanica in the local community.
·  Building strong relationships with key business leaders, officials and representatives of the local community.
·  Understanding current trends to continuously improve our offerings and operations.
·  Promoting teamwork and lifestyle service through daily communication and coordination with other teams.  
·  Living the voco™ brand with pride, passion & energy. Creating & inspiring others to deliver memorable branded guest experiences. 
·  Ad-hoc duties as required – unexpected moments when we have to pull together as a team to get a task done. 

 

What we need from you

·  Passion for hospitality
·  Three years of management experience in a high-level operations role within a hospitality environment.
·  Strong organizational, task-management, leadership, creativity and presentation skills.
·  Pro-active attitude and eye for detail with a natural drive for continuous improvement.
·  A naturally outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for service excellence in order to consistently deliver and demonstrate voco™ service standards to our voco ™
·  Excellent communication skills in Dutch and in English. Another language is always a plus.
