Your day to day

As a FP&A Analyst - Americas in our finance team in Branston you would be responsible for delivering financial insight on regional IHG performance to FP&A and Finance business partners, to support them and the business in driving performance and value to IHG.

You would also be responsible for:

·  Providing day to day financial management and analytics to support the respective Finance business partners and business stakeholders at regional level.
·  Performing decision support activities such as System size and pipeline budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, Corporate P&L from operations budgeting and forecasting to corporate performance and trading analysis, and project analysis.
·  Producing standard and ad hoc reports, including variance analysis and relevant, insightful and accurate commentary.
·  Conducting scenario analysis and modelling using data visualisation tools to support business decisions.
·  Being flexible to provide ad-hoc reports and analysis, including scenario modelling to support decision making.
·  Identifying process improvement opportunities and support the delivery of improvements in processes, systems and procedures.
·  Building strong relationships within the CoE and with the SSC, and collaborate to deliver high quality outputs
·  Acting as an escalation point for audit queries.
What we need from you

The successful candidate will have a BA or BS Degree in Finance or a relevant field of work and will ideally be a newly qualified or finalist at a professional finance qualification level (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent). 

You would also preferably have experience as a finance analyst, including experience with operational planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, management reporting, scenario analysis and modelling skills, with preference for leisure and hospitality or similar single unit, multi-revenue stream operations.

You would also need to have:

·  Preferably, experience as a finance analyst, incl. experience with operational planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, management reporting, scenario analysis and modelling skills, with preference for leisure and hospitality or similar single unit, multi-revenue stream operations.
·  Understanding of trading metrics and key drivers which impact operations revenue and cost.
·  Advanced user of Oracle, Essbase, reporting tools, Excel, PowerPoint.
·  Ability to prioritise and to operate effectively in a fast moving, global environment with tight deadlines.
·  Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
·  Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
·  Critical thinking and ability to connect and explain linkage between drivers and outputs.
·  Preferably, exposure to the culture and ways of working in the supported region(s).

For this role you would be required to work 11am – 7pm
