Job description
IBM's WebSphere Application Server team is looking for a co-op software developer to contribute to the on-going success of our industry leading application server. WebSphere Application Server is on the forefront of agile, open source development with thousands of clients in the Fortune 100 and an integral part of IBM's Cloud strategy. A qualified candidate will work with a team of subject matter experts and other developers to build skills, experience, and the next evolution of our application server. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to an organization responsible for enabling customers to be successful in their areas of business as well as participate in a group development environment and both leverage existing skills and learning new skills.
If you're a currently enrolled university graduate student who is experienced in object oriented development and is interested in being part of a fast paced, agile team, we want to talk to you. Successful candidates will have proven object oriented programming skills such as Java, Java EE, nodejs (and others such as swift, Go, PhP, Ruby, Perl) along with other scripting languages such as Jython and will want to learn and expand their skillset. Experience with Agile development and/or enterprise grade capabilities that brings strong value to the customer is a plus.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· Experience with a server side, object oriented language such as Java, Java EE, Java Script, NodeJS, swift, Go, PHP, Ruby, Perl.
· Experience with DevOps type environments including Gradle and Jenkins.
· Experience with administrative scripting languages such as python and testing using leveraging Junit
