Job description

The VMware Systems Administrator is an experienced Support Technician with expert-level support experience and basic design knowledge with VMware for management of VMware vSphere server infrastructure. Specific job responsibilities include implementing, managing and migrating vSphere environments using VMware ESXi and vCenter; managing the security and stability of VMware products; managing all facets of the subsystems necessary to support the delivery environment; providing technical project leadership for vSphere environments; implementing and maintaining vRealize Operations Manager; implementing and maintaining Cisco UCS Manager and UCS Central environments; ability to document processes and procedures; providing good customer service during all interactions; communicating and working with customers; working as a part of an overall team on a daily basis; following IBM policies and procedures

Must Have (mid-expert level experience):
vSphere 5.x and 6.x to include vCenter Server for Windows, vCenter Server Linux Appliance and VMware ESXi
vRealize Operations Manager (vROPs/vCOPS)
VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
IBM/Lenovo System X Hardware
Intel (IBM, HP and Dell) Server Hardware
Cisco UCS Hardware
Cisco UCS Manager / Central management
VMware PowerCLI
VMware Upgrade experience (5.x to 6.x)
Customer service skills
Highly organized, motivated and able to meet deadlines
