Unity Developer, IBM iX and Mobile (Remote)

Job description

IBM iX is seeking diverse, passionate Unity developers to join our growing team of XR designers and technologists. You will be part of a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team helping clients create innovative augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR) applications ranging from consumer experiences to data visualizations, training to field service. You will work in a creative and energetic environment, working directly with designers, 3D artists, writers, strategists, technologists and others.

Responsibilities

• Working with a Unity architect to implement applications across the XR spectrum
• Communicating and collaborating effectively with team members from many disciplines including design, strategy, tech, and others
• Developing supporting diagrams, documentation, and other artifacts
• Prototyping various small and big design ideas within Unity
• Devising effective ways to test Unity code, including automated testing
• Maintaining systems written by others
• Keeping yourself and your colleagues knowledgeable about the latest XR technologies, use cases, design patterns, and best practices

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience implementing apps or games in Unity
• Shipped one or more Unity apps or games
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of most Unity sub-systems (animation, rendering, physics, GUI, particles, networking, etc.)
• Portfolio demonstrating Unity apps you've implemented
• Minimum 2 years experience implementing engaging user experiences in any technology

• Skill with 3D modeling, animation, audio production, or video production a plus
