Job description

IBM Sweden is looking for technical, university level, students with a desire to work on new projects within Internet of Things, Blockchain, Big Data, Watson, Quantum computing and User eXperience.

IBM Sweden has created a new team of student workers who will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies within one of the worlds most innovative technology companies.

You will be part of a prototyping team helping our skilled IT professionals and Sales Executives to demonstrate the value and capability of IBM's technologies to our clients, business partners, developer communities and universities. You will be a part of our Nordic CTO office, with peer student workers across all Nordic countries, and you will be taking leadership guidance and coaching from the local country technical leader. The team is often referred to as the BlueSmarties team.

The job will be very self paced and you will typically be organized in small teams with a joint goal of finishing a task or project within tight deadlines. Promoting yourself and your work through presentations, communication on social media as well as internal blogs will be a part of you role.

As a part of the Nordic BlueSmarties team you will come in contact with the latest of IBM's technologies - for example:
Cognitive Computing, AI and Machine Learning
Advanced Analytics
Internet of Things
Blockchain
Quantum Computing

Projects typically also include open source components and/or components from IBM partners such as Apple and Cisco.

In addition to working with solutions that has direct value and impact for clients and partners you will also be working together with other students on bringing some of you projects back to the universities. Expect a mix of projects initiated through client engagements, and projects initiated by your own initiative and ideas.

About you:
You are ambitious and energetic in combination with a strong aptitude for solving technical challenges. It is a big advantage if you have programming skills and preferably with skills in several programming languages. It's essential to your success in IBM that you are a creative thinker with a desire to create solutions to business problems and you understand how to work in teams of people with different background and interests.

We expect that you:
Have solid experience with at least one programming language
Understand software architectures
Have a strong interest into technology and innovation
Are a team player with strong personal drive
Like to work in short sprints under high pressure
Are good at proactively communicating your capabilities and limitations
Are fluent in English, both spoken and written
Have 2 years or more left of your intended education
