Tactical Sourcing Buyer (Fluent German)

General Purpose
IBM is looking for a self-driven procurement professional, with fluent German and English language knowledge to support its prestigious Client from the Airline industry, headquartered in Germany as Tactical Sourcing Buyer.

The main responsibilities of the Tactical Sourcing Buyer are:
·  Manage tactical sourcing projects (i.e. spot buy, project-based purchasing) individually.
·  Perform periodic analyses within managed commodity scope to identify savings, define efficiency opportunities and tactical initiatives. Support Category Managers’ work and the Category strategy as required.
·  Negotiate and contract suppliers.
·  Expected travel: approximately 30 days annually.
Additional responsibilities
·  Provide multi-category support assigned by the sourcing lead.
·  Execute competitive bid events.
·  Analyze changing client/market conditions.
·  Interface with Strategic Sourcing Team to implement strategic contracts at a tactical level.
·  Support client specific category strategies.
·  Re-direct tactical spend through strategic contracts/channels as appropriate.
·  Promote process efficiencies through focus on automated channels.
·  Track and report supplier performance, resolve supplier issues.
