What You'll Do
The primary focus of this role will be the integration and support of third-party storage systems, using the vendor-exposed APIs and the internal development platform. As a Systems Software Engineer on our Team, you'll be responsible for development in the cloud infrastructure storage area; implementing and consuming APIs in the cloud infrastructure environment. You'll employ your systems engineering chops to enable deployment of software solutions and provide ongoing support for the File and Block product offerings. Core responsibilities will include....

· 
Designing and developing storage integrations to enable and support cloud platform business efforts

· 
Produce code that is secure, scalable, and reliable, supported by unit tests, functional tests, and technical documentation

· 
Contribute to to automated testing, unit test coverage, and occasional database design

· 
Participate in code reviews for your peers' development work, triage and solve live customer issues, and participate in all scrum activities

· 
Monitor, measure, and improve code and data performance for the application you help to develop.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

In addition to superior verbal and written communication skills (ESPECIALLY for technical communication), you'll need…

3+ years' experience in systems development with UNIX and/or Linux

· 
Experience AND/OR exposure to AND/OR strong understanding of technical principles of Docker and Kubernetes

· 
Experience working with Minikube & REST

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

· 
Linux systems development experience below or above the POSIX layer is highly preferred

· 
Development experience with Go (Golang)

· 
Experience working with NetApp CDOT and QCOW2 image format

· 
Experience working with Go programming language

· 
Experience working with controllers, Etcd, Kubectl and contributing to deployments
