Solution Architect : Hybrid Cloud

Job description

We are looking for experienced IBM engineers to join our Hybrid Cloud Ops / App Insights Best Practices team to help drive revenue from existing on-prem APM / ITM / Netcool / NOI customer base and support new sales opportunities during the transitional phase to IBM Cloud Private and Cloud Native product development.

Responsibilities:
·  Actively participate in sales opportunities / PoC - technical sales role such as running PoCs, RFPs, demonstrate use cases, sharing technical expertise, etc.
·  Support and participate at sales, enablement road shows, Think, TUG, Gartner etc.
·  Enable and support the growing Business Partner ecosystem.
·  Bring feedback to the Tribe and engage with the OM / Dev team to improve our offerings (close loop).
·  Design and implement demos.
·  Support customer visits to IBM locations.
·  Customer satisfaction assistance (on-site/off-site visits, web conferences, phone calls).
·  Responding daily to technical questions from customers and IBMers (i.e email,Slack, SameTime).
·  Pro-actively participate in Design reviews with Design team.
·  Attending and feeding back into stakeholder review meetings with the product teams.
·  Be in a position to vocalize the benefits of IBM Cloud Private products to customers. Bring back into the lab the views and opinions of customers on the transition to Cloud Native products.
·  Develop and enhance Best Practices and Redbooks publications for Ops / Appl Insights products.
Requirements:
·  Self-starter who learns new technologies quickly, can multi-task, and has strong analytical skills.
·  Ability to work with customers , build relationships, show the value IBM can bring using technical arguments, diplomacy and by applying technical expertise. Stay engaged and supportive though to the completion of the sales process
·  Deep Technical knowledge of APM or Netcool products is essential.
·  Experience in the following would be preferred : DevOps methodology, Rest API, Containers, Kubernetes; Programming skills: Java, Node.js (javascript), C#; Scripting skills in python, perl and Ansible.
·  Excellent communications skills both written and oral is essential.
·  Good understanding of Cloud technologies and concepts is an advantage.
·  Approximately 25% to 50% travel is likely to be required.
