Job description

IBM Hybrid Cloud is hiring a Software Quality Engineer Intern for our Littleton, MA location. In this role, you will work with our Cognos TM1 Server Quality Engineering and Development teams. TM1 is an in-memory OPLAP database, with which customers can rapidly analyze data, model business requirements and collaborate on plans, budgets and forecasts to uncover hidden business options and optimize performance. Working closely with development and build teams, you will have the opportunity to understand Continuous Integration Frameworks and Test Automation as used in the Industry and learn about RESTFul APIs. Strong analytical and programming skills and good communication skills are required. You should be passionate about Analytics, Databases, and Open Source tools, and have curiosity to learn new technologies.

Main responsibilities include:
·  Design new test cases and verify new functionality for TM1 product features
·  Develop automated tests Java and RESTFul APIs using tools like Chakram and GitHub
·  Use scripting languages like python to develop test harness
·  Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration framework (Jenkins)
·  Execute automated tests and report defects on product builds
·  Work closely with development in scrum teams to resolve product issues on a daily basis
·  Understand implementation of TM1 models to expand test scripts and coverage
·  Provide feedback on product usability, serviceability and documentation
