We are currently seeking a Software Developer – Support for our Cloud/Platform Development Team. In this role you will be responsible for the following:

⦁ Respond to incident escalations to development team
⦁ Monitor alert emails from production systems and respond to them
⦁ Troubleshoot and diagnose root cause of issues
⦁ Resolve issues and prevent repeat occurrences
⦁ Communicate issues to the broader software development team and help with a 360-degree understanding of the problem from a user perspective.
⦁ Write tools/scripts for release engineering (Dev/Ops)
⦁ Work on design and development of items in focused areas where high volume of support incidents are reported.

As an IBM Software Developer, the candidate will use the latest tools and technologies available to deliver state- of-the-art software. They'll be responsible for ensuring that company software components are expertly designed, tested, debugged, verified and ready for integration into IBM's best-of-breed solutions that help organizations improve their business outcomes in the global marketplace.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  2-4 Years of experience in Software Development and technical support
·  Must be a demonstrated programmer and have in depth understanding of Programming concepts.
·  Proficiency in Java Programming Language.
·  Proven Experience in Databases: Oracle/SQL
·  Demonstrated skills in algorithms and data structures, computer science concepts.
·  Good skills on Unix like operating systems.
·  Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
