Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for IBM Hyper Protect ZaaS (m/w)

Job description

IBM Hyper Protect Z as a Service is a new set of offerings built on the Secure Container Services and LinuxONE providing higher levels of security to customers for whom a data breech would threaten their very existence. We seek to go beyond current compliances and offer higher levels of protection from both outsider and insider threats.

Z and LinuxONE offers the most available, secure, reliable, scalable hardware for large server farms. The new z14 encrypts all application data at rest and in flight which combined with the new Secure Containers offers isolation, memory protection and no hardware or OS root access to trusted containers. Z as a Service is bringing solutions such as Blockchain, Hyper Protect Crypto and Hyper Protect DBaaS to both Public and Private Cloud, in the secure containerized environment and gain all the advantages of the LinuxOne hardware. As a member of the Hyper Protect Z as a Service SRE team you will be responsible for the deploying of new Hyper Protect ZaaS levels following a continues delivery process, automating wide ranges of operational tasks and interfacing with product management, development teams' company-wide, and end users, to solve complex problems.

· Networking (Calico, IPSec, VLans, VXLan, Load Balancing, VPNs);
· Storage (Encryption, NFS, Block Storagem Spectrum Scale, GlusterFS);
· Logging & Monitoring (logstash, collectd , QRadar);
· Security - IAM, kubernetes RBAC, encryption, key sharing, HSM
· Delivery practices - Jenkins, Docker (runc and runq runtime), Open Source, Secure Engineering
· Kubernetes, IKS (Armada), Softlayer
· IBMCloud experience - onboarding service broker, IAM integration
· Familiarity with load balancing, geo routing, and proxying
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, both internally and customer-facing.
