Job Description
IT Specialists in this Job Role will have expertise in analyzing and translating business requirements into control objectives, design security controls and implement them along with a security management cycle. Security specialists assist in finding the proper balance between enabling and securing in relation to the client's organization, culture and ecosystem. Typical examples of the deliverables include asset classification models, risk analysis reports, information security policies, security solution scenarios, implementation plans, security services, organization models, procedures, security services, security effectiveness evaluation reports and security awareness workshops using IBM Security Services Methodologies producing good quality client deliverables using standard techniques. IT Specialists who primarily apply their technical skills in an internal or external client billable services and implementation environment. The employee guides functional objectives or technologies.

Job Requirements (tech skills)
At least two years in configuration projects in IBM QRadar, not only pre-sales knowledge
Hands on experience with IBM QRadar; so as implementation
Experience in the following:
· Network basics
· IBM QRadar
· Communication protocols: ODBC, syslog, SNMP and API
Experience around the majority of the following technologies: Web Services, XML, regex, LDAP
Demonstrated knowledge of one or more of the following operating systems: Windows, Linux, AIX
Experience as a member of a technical project team, from design through delivery
Demonstrated experience making technical decisions regarding assigned tasks when presented with options by other team members
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and identifying potential problems and making appropriate changes as necessary
Demonstrated experience creating technical documentation
Demonstrated presentation and communication skills
Demonstrated Consulting experience or previous consulting background
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Gather Client requirements for Security Information and Event Management
Implement Best Practice for Security Information and Event Management
Develop technical and conceptual specifications in support of the clients’ business needs and functional specifications and overall solution
Configure and customize IBM QRadar solution
Develop custom parsers, searches and reports based on the log sources of customer
Integrate new log sources (native and not natively supported sources)
Troubleshoot network and linux issues
Resolve issues discovered during log source integration, and QRadar performance
Test rules against existing data
Document detailed design and tuning on technical work for clients
Maintain technical specifications throughout a project
