Job description

This position is a 24 month Fixed term position based in Auckland and is a critical role for IBM on our key customer - banking account.

What will I be doing?

·  You will work with the bank's and IBM's Security, Network and I&AM teams to drive continuous improvement.
·  You will be responsible for the Operational Stability and Performance of one or more Critical Business Services.
·  Drive and implement new tools to facilitate operations, improve reliability, gather insights into our platform, and make changes to resolve or mitigate common operational issues.
·  Improve automation of common processes and finding enhancements and innovative solutions to help the services both scale and become increasingly self-healing.

What skills and experience will I need?

·  Proven experience in a CI/CD environment
·  Passion for embracing new security technologies and working with our customer to ensure they are successful.
·  Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks
·  Experience in regulatory and governance compliance such as BS11 and PCI-DSS.
·  Experience with troubleshooting issues in production systems
·  Solid Linux knowledge, particularly with RHEL
·  You will understand and be skilled in Software component development, Container based deployments and best practice in Security, Compliance, High Availability & Resilience.

What experience is useful to have?

·  Previous experience working with public cloud platforms like IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure or others.
·  Networking skills and experience with CISCO, Juniper, F5 and Palo Alto
·  Experience using key management / encryption tools, I&AM products and/or IBM Cloud, UI and/or CLI and IBM Cloud stack (I&AM, CF, ALB)
·  Skills in Netscout or similar Network Packet capturing SW experience will be useful.
·  Familiarity with Micro Segmentation and application-based network flow The successful applicant must have the ability to work in New Zealand without the requirement of sponsorship.
