Job description



As a SAP Technical Architect , your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

·  Managing and enhancing technical infrastructure architecture (e.g. hardware, software, network, data components, etc.) for SAP ERP operating environment
·  Diagnosing and mitigating technical issues that adversely impact the availability, throughput or performance of the systems
·  Performing analysis of, documenting, reporting, escalating, triaging and resolving database and/or system issues
·  Executing environment refreshes of production and non-production environments using various technologies, tools, methodologies
·  Developing project schedules for various consecutive projects / efforts
·  Managing and enforcing to ensure architecture satisfy all applicable cyber security requirements for defined / mandated for the DoD and/or the DoN CIO
·  Monitoring and maintaining effectiveness of all technology and processes to ensure a logical and physical integrity
·  Managing and upgrading, when appropriate, all components applicable to a SAP ERP system to a new version, closest to the current release levels
·  Working with data centers and/or various other service providers to manage / maintain a good operational posture
·  Performing COOP for backup and recovery of environments
·  Monitoring system performance to identify and forecast performance bottlenecks and take the necessary steps to improve
·  Maintaining and updating vendor procurement gateway technology to support the Navy ERP Grants functionality

Relocation to the Harrisburg, PA area, United States Citizenship, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Clearance is a requirement.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  5- 7 years' experience in projects involving different SAP modules in a large organization and be aware of the challenges faced by different teams in coming up with an integrated enterprise wide solution
·  5- 7 years' experience in in-depth knowledge of structured application design, programming and testing principles.
·  5 -7 years' experience in strong background in formal software application design and development on SAP ERP landscape
·  Minimum 7 years SAP implementation experience
