Job description
IBM Research at Albany Nanotech is currently seeking semiconductor research and development engineers for core CMOS logic technologies R&D. This role will be for IBM's System Technology differentiation.
The logic technologies are to provide process technology to IBM systems franchise. Desired areas of expertise in this space include complex process integration, advanced process modeling, novel device and process design and fabrication, new materials development, and physical/electrical characterization of materials.
The ability to work effectively in a multi-functional matrix team is an essential part of the job. Teams include device design & characterization, TCAD simulation, process integration, patterning, equipment, metrology, operations, reliability and design/layout. We expect candidates to be self-motivated, passionate, and exhibit a high-level of interest in understanding and solving complex material and process challenges.
The ability and willingness to adapt to changing technologies in an agile approach and to embrace challenges is important in this position. Additionally, candidates should have very good communication and presentation skills. Generation of Intellectual Property for IBM and protection of it through the patenting process are also expected.
