Project Manager - Project Office Management

Job description

This role is a combination of a project manager with business analysis skills in banking/insurance, able to interact with client representatives and the IBM delivery team. The PM will be responsible for the definition, start, plan, execute, monitor and close projects within an application portfolio, for a given long-term contract. And also:

* Interact with client team on software development related processes
* Take part in client and team negotiations on scope, schedule for new signings
* Understand the business context and guide client on its application portfolio modernization
* Work with client representatives to understand, define and refine application/project requirements
* Define, and launch new projects and monitor execution until project close
* Assist the delivery team and offer support, as necessary, to keep the project on track
* Assist in driving the project to completion, as scheduled
* Anticipate project risks and follow on changes to keep the triple constraints
* Attend Meeting and Conference Calls, report project status (create reports, charts etc)

Travel Required :
- Occasional travel to France/Belgium;
- less than 10% working days in a calendar year

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

* At least 2 years experience in delivering projects in a Bank or an Insurance Company
* Strong BA experience; strong understanding of Finance/Insurance domains
* Proven experience in application development with waterfall & agile methodologies
* Good technical understanding of development processes on various technologies (SQL, Java, .NET, BI, ETL, etc.)
