Your Role and Responsibilities
-Support, configuration and troubleshooting of Unix (AIX / RHEL) Servers.
-Clustering and High availability management (PowerHA) along with Virtualization solutions (VIOs).
-Perform OS and firmware upgrades, implementation, customization, operation, recovery and performance tuning.
-Provide support and troubleshooting of virtual machines and resources provisioning (CPU,MEM,Storage)
-Open support cases with vendors, arrange maintenance windows on multi-customer hosting servers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

-Demonstrable experience in AIX, RHEL Support, troubleshooting and storage implementation, along with OS clustering, partitioning and virtualization.
-High experience in handling day-to-day UNIX-LINUX operating system support, tuning, migration and break-fix situation.
-SAN S/W and storage administration and logical volume management. Ability to map and create devices from VIO servers.
-Ability to Update/upgrade OS by requests and related works and reporting packages update for the production servers
-Cover on-call / Standby on rotation. Managing ticket queues for Incidents / Service requests & Changes
-Demonstrable knowledge of IBM Power Systems hardware and features, dynamic partitioning (DLPAR) and Live Partition Mobility (LPM) expertise.
-Administer and troubleshoot of NIM Servers, network file sharing, mksysb and backup knowledge.
-Work with multi-technology teams such as Network, Storage, Backup and Restore, Operating System, Automation and provisioning.
