Job description

Career and master's degree!? At IBM, you can combine a promising work environment for the start of your career with a part-time master's course at a renowned university of your choice!

IBM is one of the world‘s largest providers of information technology solutions and business consultancy. Our vision is to bring a new level of ‚smart‘ to how the world works. A place where people, businesses, governments and systems are interconnected and work together. A place where billions of people will live and work better.

What does Master@IBM offer you?
Within the scope of the 2-year Master@IBM program, we offer valuable professional experience in the area of development (combined with an appropriate salary), which you will gain in parallel to your studies. You can complete the master study course at a university (or university of applied sciences) of your choice. The volume of work allows you to focus sufficiently on your master's degree. Nevertheless, you can expect challenging assignments in a team-oriented and dynamic environment as well as many opportunities for active co-determination. You will also write your master's thesis in collaboration with your department.

Who are we looking for?
For our in-job master's program, we are looking for highly-motivated students from economics, business or (IT) science based degree courses. In addition to a good bachelor degree, an independent approach to work is also important to us. Are you action-oriented, highly motivated and you have analytical skills? You are able to define and localize industry specific content and solution plays? Then you should definitely apply - we look forward to receiving your application!

What you can expect from this position:
In this role, you are an application developer with strong communication skills. In this role, you are working in a large sales unit covering the Suisse Romande market, and more precisely with the solution architect of this team. You will collaborate closely with the sales team to develop small proof of concept or proof of technology in artificial intelligence and leverage the IBM development framework (Java, Python). You will interact with customers to understand their needs and objectives and also build the technical solution and create Proof of Concepts in the new fields (Chatbots, Watson PoC). Great interesting chance for a technical master student.

Additional requirements:
- Good understanding of business administration
- Developer skills
- Open minded
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Fluent English and French skills

How to apply:
Your application documents should include an informative CV as well as all certificates including your bachelor's certificate (if you do not yet have this, please provide an overview of your current grades). Also add a cover letter that explains your motivation for undertaking a master's degree as well as describing your qualification for working in the selected area.
