This is a Tax Analyst position supporting the Global tax team with a focus on the international portions of the US Consolidated Tax Return. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and completing the international portions of the US consolidated federal return including, but not limited to, Form 1118, Revenue & Expense apportionment rules, Forms 5471 & 8858, Subpart F income, Earnings & Profits, Foreign Tax Credit, Section 78 Gross-up and Section 905(c) adjustments. The candidate is responsible for researching and writing technical memorandum on any area pertaining to the IBM Consolidated Tax Return including, but not limited to, Forms 5471 & 8858, Subpart F income, Foreign Tax Credit, Reportable Transactions and specifically, be able to assist in the preparation of all applicable Notices and Elections, Check-the-box Elections and other related filings. The candidate will be responsible to analyze and properly account for integrations of newly acquired entities and to support our Tax Planning team on restructuring initiatives and dividend proposals. The candidate should be able to research and analyze federal and international issues and be willing to monitor legislation in all these areas. Individual should be able to write thoughtful and well drafted responses to IDRS, assist the International Operations Group with technical issues such as Dual Consolidated Losses, Subpart F income, creditability of FTCs and E&P studies.

Candidate should be an active learner that is detail oriented and a proven self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, work in a fast paced time sensitive environment and complete work timely and accurately. Candidate should also possess demonstrated oral and written communication skills, work ethic and the ability to work effectively across a complex organization. Candidate should possess process management and documentation skills and have the ability to quickly learn new software tools.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Minimum of 6 years tax US Corporate tax compliance experience;
·  Minimum of 5 years international tax compliance experience;
·  Minimum of 3 years tax compliance in a large multinational or big 4 experience
·  Minimum of 3 years with spreadsheet applications.
