Job Description

The IBM Information Security Advisor position is for individuals with experience in professional services looking for an opportunity to be part of a diverse and expert security services group. Our security delivery team is responsible for conducting comprehensive information security assessments, designing solutions for clients to help address security issues discovered during the assessments and helping deploy security technology solutions and Managed Security Services to enhance our clients' security posture. The Information Security Advisor will have to drive effectiveness and efficiency for the security policy and controls definition, responsible to implementation and compliance to policy as set forth by our customers. Responsible for regulatory compliance as set forth by our clients. Participating in Security Problem Management meetings and reviews.

Main Responsibilities:

·  Review and discuss plans and actions derived from internal or external audits or regulatory needs.
·  Review issues that affect the different regulations of privacy and data protection
·  Review incidents and issues of cybersecurity related to financial regulations
·  Review and approve improvement of security in services and risk management policies
·  Escalate to upper governance level, if required, the issues not resolved by the parties
·  Review the risk assessment
·  Review issues and discuss plans and actions derived from internal or external audits and regulatory needs.
·  Monitor obsolescence standards and discuss obsolescence risk mitigation actions.
·  Review and approve improvement of security services and risk management policies.
·  Supervise the relationship with any external auditor.
·  Responsible for Ownership and Coordination of actions of the Security problems under IBM's contract scope and responsibilities.
·  Analyze root cause of findings, identify known error and coordinating actions to fix the error.
·  Be proactive in identifying problems, analyze and recommend Security Service Improvement plans with the possible solutions obtained from technical teams for department or business unit.
·  Prevents Security Problems across multiple systems
·  Monitors the effectiveness of error control and makes recommendations for improvements

Required Expertise

·  Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures.
·  Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving.
·  Strong verbal and written skills
·  3-4 years areas of regulation environment experience focused on financial regulation
·  Experience in working with CNBV, audit areas, internal control, SOX and institutions that regulate the financial sector regulation.
·  Good best security best practices with ISO/IEC-27000 certification
·  Good security management with CISA, CRISK or CISM certification
·  Good ITIL understanding with ITIL certification
·  Good Interpersonal and organizational skills
·  Good level of Interpersonal and organizational skills required
·  Analytical skills
·  Basic Project Management Skills
·  Reported findings and issues related to deviations from financial standard
·  Processes findings and issues communications to include initial reporting, follow-ups, requests for information and resolution activity
