Job description

IBM Blockchain is looking to hire an offering manager to create an offering to monetize support for the IBM Blockchain. The offering manager has two specific roles a) defining the strategy and vision for the IBM Blockchain support experience and b) managing the development, launch and ongoing improvement of the support experience. The ideal candidate will have experience providing software support at IBM.

The offering manager will be responsible for understanding IBM's existing support offerings, evaluating current client needs and defining our strategy for how IBM Blockchain leverages support to drive network progression and client adoption.

The ideal candidate will love talking to customers regularly to find out what they need, but also to keep a firm pulse on where the industry is trending. This role is data driven and requires getting into the details, performing market analyses, usability studies, and studying usage patterns to evolve our existing support and propose new products and features. The ideal candidate will also enjoy collaborating with others on targeting, branding, marketing and evangelism activities.

The person in this role will be accountable for the revenue, profits, signings, client satisfaction and overall market share growth for support tied to the IBM Blockchain Platform space.

The successful candidate must have exceptional problem solving skills, strong business judgment, and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams. We are looking for a proven ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new, ambiguous projects that will be industry defining.

Specific responsibilities include the following:
·  Create the business product strategy for support for IBM Blockchain
·  Define support product requirements documents based on an intimate knowledge of the specific market segments, target customers, and product
·  Work with technical teams as the business stakeholder to enable components of the business strategy which require software development to implement
·  Responsible for the go-to-market plan and enablement, working to insure that sales, solutions, and the partner teams have what they need to be successful
·  Work with customers to understand their use cases and their existing solutions
·  Establish goals and reviewing metrics to identify opportunities and deliver success
·  Partner with multiple teams across multiple locations with varying sets of priorities to ensure a timely delivery of support
·  Clarify and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability.
·  Conduct training and outreach to internal support teams as well as external customers
·  Overcome internal hurdles to get things done
