Job description
IBM FlashSystems is the leading provider of next-generation enterprise class all-flash storage systems.
We are looking for RTL/FPGA Design Engineers to join our Hardware Engineering team in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities of the RTL/FPGA Design Engineer:
- Architect, design, simulate, and validate RTL designs that target FPGAs
- Design and maintain reusable blocks to be leveraged across multiple designs and architectures
- Implement industry standard IP such as DDR4 and PCIe interfaces
- Familiarity with ARM Cortex-Ax family processors and AXI/ACE protocols
- Diagnose and debug complex RTL related problems
- Support firmware integration and testing
- Use of SystemVerilog Assertions to improve design quality
- Design modules to meet performance, power, and area goals.
Desired Skills
- Experience using Verilog or SystemVerilog languages
- Familiarity using Xilinx tools (Vivado: Synthesis, PAR, STA)
- Familiarity using Cadence Incisive Simulator
- Lab experience using Oscilloscope and Logic Analyzer
- Knowledge of Linux operating system and drivers
- 2-4 years experience with RTL design and verification of RTL/FPGA's.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
· At least 6 months experience with RTL design and verification of RTL/FPGA's.
