We have an exciting opportunity on the IBM Design team for a front-end developer who can write disciplined Javascript, understand modern Javascript frameworks, and loves beautiful design.

Responsibilities include:
·  Work closely with designers throughout the iterative design process to build a design system.
·  Inspire the team with your development perspective.
·  Translate visual design into front-end components.
·  Foster a culture of transparent collaboration across global teams.
·  Review other developers code.
·  Demonstrate the ability to communicate strong opinions, loosely held.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Deep understanding of Sass and CSS styling.
·  Deep understanding of HTML standards and structure.
·  Deep understanding of cross-browser quirks and compatibility.
·  Skilled javascript developer that understands ES2015 and modern JavaScript frameworks
·  Extensive experience with NodeJS development.
·  Experience with test-driven development.
·  Experience with HTML templating languages.
·  Experience with GitHub, ZenHub, and Agile software development methodologies.
·  Experience with Sketch.
·  Experience with design systems.
·  At least 3+ years experience delivering high performing, accessible, responsive sites.
·  High respect for others, manifesting as positive attitude and effective collaboration skills.
