Application Developer - Data Specialist

Job description

Application Developer will be responsible for analysing, designing and implementing high quality software solutions to meet Business Objectives. The candidate will work as part of a team and individually with little supervision, paying great attention to detail and demonstrating time-management skills. Responsibilities include:
- Understanding client requirements and how they translate in application features
- Collaborating with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications
- Writing high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines
- Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features
- Developing technical documents to accurately represent application design and code

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

- Strong IT background and software development skills
- University Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- At least 2 years’ experience in enterprise systems design and development, using Java/JEE, .Net, Web Services (SOAP & REST), Relational Databases and SQL, Javascript (JQuery), JSP/Servlets
- Very good understanding of software design and programming principles
- Excellent communication skills, analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Basic knowledge of systems architecture
- Basic knowledge of systems administration
- Very good knowledge of Greek (preferably native speaker) and English languages, both oral and writing
