Are you looking to influence the next generation Cloud Platform? Are you interested in building the infrastructure for the future Cloud and Information landscape? Have you thought about applying AI techniques to improve the reliability and the operability of cloud data centers?

Our team is exploring and developing cutting edge technologies for Cloud compute, Cloud management and foundation for Big Data.
We develop novel ideas and technologies in order to build next generation Cloud infrastructure and services, to smartly monitor cloud operations and use AI methods for operational excellence of the cloud (AIOps), and to build state-of-art foundation for data-intensive cloud workloads.

The position involves research opportunities as well as development, working with cutting edge IBM tools, open source tools and communities, participating in European research projects as well as the dissemination of results of such innovation activities through publications and patents. We are looking for candidates with demonstrable Research abilities as well as good hands-on systems skills in one or more of the following areas: cloud services, big data analytics infrastructure, AI for operations, and monitoring.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

- Ph.D or Masters degree in computer science or electrical engineering (B.Sc degree may be considered in exceptional cases)
- Hands-on programming experience
- Demonstrated research abilities, independently set and execute research goals
