Chief Medical Officer, Nordic Markets (DK, SE, FI, NO)

Job description

IBM is now seeking a Chief Medical Officer to cultivate and develop our business in the Swedish, Danish, Finnish and Norwegian healthcare and life sciences markets by inspiring and educating about the power of combining technology and medical competency to deliver better health outcomes.

The candidate should have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong passion for innovating healthcare.

As Nordic Chief Medical Officer you will:

· 
Set a clear vision for the future of healthcare

· 
Translate and articulate the benefits of IBM's clinical offerings (especially our Watson Health portfolio) in the language and context of the customer's potential outcome

· 
Develop and manage C-level relationships in private and public organisations

· 
Identify and develop sales opportunities on this basis

· 
Be a core member of the IBM Nordic Health Community, the European equivalent and be supported by IBM's European Chief Medical Officer

Preferred Candidates will possess the following:

· 
Experience with both clinical and paraclinical specialities like radiology, pathology, laboratory sciences

· 
Broad knowledge of /experience with clinical research.

· 
Strong commercial understanding and interest.

· 
Experience working with public sector political environments in one or several Nordic countries.

· 
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

· 
Strong networking and collaboration skills

· 
Interest in/experience with external affairs within research and clinical practice

· 
Experience working with and preferably also within international organizations

· 
User experience from implementation of major healthcare solutions (e.g. EMR, RIS/PACS, laboratory systems etc.)

· 
Interest in growing local/regional competences within healthcare in a global company

· 
Ability to maintain productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  At least 5 years' experience in practicing medicine
·  At least 2 years' experience with business development.
·  Fluent in English plus minimum one Nordic language (written and verbal).
·  Willing to travel 50% or more when needed.
·  Master Degree in Medicine
