We are currently recruiting Application Developer- Teradata, Aster Hadoop & Mainframe for a 1 year fixed term contract, based in Melbourne.

The Application Development team is responsible for supporting the BAU team and the full life cycle of enhancements. As an Application Developer your responsibilities include –

·  Develop code in Data warehouse application using Teradata Utilities, Hadoop Hive Scripts and Aster functions.
·  Develop and Test Mainframe JCL to execute Teradata and Hadoop scripts
·  Analyse data quality issues across all complex systems and provide resolutions to all data issues and coordinate with data analyst to validate all requirements.
·  Lead the BAU team by resolving the production incidents within SLA.
·  Develop the task plan for ETL developers for a specific project and provide technical knowledge of Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) solutions for Business Intelligence projects.
·  Validate data flows to prepare data lineage models across all ETL processes in Teradata, Mainframe, Control, Hadoop and Aster.
·  Involve in Performance tuning of Hadoop & Teradata jobs and troubleshooting issues to ensure an efficient ETL code is delivered and conforms to design guidelines.
·  Coordinate with development team to implement all ETL procedures for all new projects and maintain effective awareness of all production activities according to required standards and provide support to all existing applications. To ensure success in the role you will possess the following skills –
·  Mainframe JCL, OPC, COBOL – 8 Years work experience
·  Teradata Bteq, Mload, Fload, Performance tuning, DSA Backup, Real-Time transactions-3 Years work experience.
·  Solid skills in BigData solutions – Hadoop, Hive and Pig – 2 years
·  Aster Database experience – 2 years
·  Good Experience with relational databases and analytical systems
·  Strong written and verbal communications
·  Nice to have skills: Control-M Scheduler experience.
·  Nice to have skills: Experience on working on production incident ticketing tool Compensation package from $74 970 (full-time equivalent) and will be determined based on successful candidates relevant skills and experience.
