We are currently recruiting a Application Developer for Java.Websphere for a 1 year fixed term contract, based in Melbourne.

The Application Development team is responsible for supporting the full life cycle of enhancements. As an Application Developer, your responsibilities include –

·  Work effectively individually and with team members toward customer satisfaction and success
·  Assist with deployments and system automation
·  Develop enhancement to System Monitoring using Splunk and OEM
·  Participate in daily system health checks and service restoration
·  Be keenly aware of timelines and budgeting to deploy and restore services in a timely manner
·  Administration of Websphere Application Server, Websphere MQ and AIX environments in the C1 Production and Non Production environment, with the core system being CC&B 2.1 and Websphere 6.1.0.47.
·  Knowledge of EnergyAustralia's C1 application's operations and deployment processes for Production and Non Production environments.
·  Configuration of C1 in existing (CC&B 2.1) and new environments (CC&B 2.6.0.1). To ensure success in the role you will possess the following skills –
·  Experience with AIX 6.1 and Oracle Linux 7.4 systems, and CC&B 2.1 and 2.6.0.1 application a must
·  Websphere 6.1.0.47 design, development, administration, and automation is required
·  Understanding of system design patterns
·  Strong written and verbal communications
·  Solid skills in Chef, Python, Shell scripting, Oracle Linux
Compensation package from $74 970 (full-time equivalent inclusive of superannuation) and will be determined based on successful candidates relevant skills and experience.
