The IBM CIO organization is looking for experienced application developers to work as members of our internal agile software development squad. We play a major role in delivering new technology to the IBMers. Our applications are built by self-directed, end-to-end development squads, and we are looking for developers who will collaborate with multiple squads to provide technical leadership to implement the Pricing@IBM strategy. Our strategy includes migrating from monolithic legacy Systems Of Record to componentized Systems Of Engagement by leveraging Cloud technologies, MicroServices and API based architectures and Cognitive technologies. Your responsibility include designing and coding Rest API's and MicroServices as well as using the DevOps tools for continuous integration, builds, and monitoring of the solutions.
You will join an exciting team, in an open landscaped, collaborative environment using agile delivery methods.
The development lead role job duties include:
· Serve as overall subject matter expert on microservices and cloud technology design based on market capabilities/trends and alignment with other internal IBM cloud implementations.
· Lead the migration from monolithic applications to componentized Systems Of Engagement by leveraging Cloud technologies, Micro Services and API's based architectures and Cognitive technologies for the Pricing@IBM initiative.
· Collaborate with other technical leaders to transform high-level technical objectives into comprehensive technical requirements and designs.
· Formulate detailed design specifications and code for stable and secure computing operations in a dynamic cloud based environment

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· A minimum of 2 years experience in Cloud computing architecture and environment (examples: AWS, Azure, Softlayer, Google Cloud, ...)
· A minimum of 2 years experience in Web Services, Rest API
· A minimum of 2 years experience in Linux operating system
· A minimum of 2 years experience in Java language, plus also one of the following would be a plus: JavaScript, Python or C#
· Strong collaboration skills: Working in teams, communication, documentation, organization
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Strong work ethic and strong eagerness to learn
· Ability to be flexible as to schedules and work assignments, including possible on-call duty for deployments or support
