Application Developer - Oracle Fusion Middleware

Job description

Develops, designs, implements/integrates, maintains, and documents complex applications supporting key business activities. Decisions made by this individual will impact and influence the department or function. Typically works on medium risk, complex projects. Participates and may provide technical leadership to a small team. Receives minimal direction and supervision from more experienced staff members or management. Receives assignments where the processes and work instructions may or may not exist.

Capable of analyzing and resolving complex technical business issues and problems. Solutions resolve technical and business issues.

Participates in and may provide technical leadership to a small team.

Designs, codes, tests and/or provides ongoing support for an application, including integration of changes that may impact multiple applications or application components.

Possesses considerable understanding of customer end to end business processes and specific requirements of the assigned applications.

Ensures interpretability of integrated applications or components including considerations for performance, serviceability, usability and maintainability. Evaluates quality/reliability performance data.

Defines, researches, integrates or develops, releases, and maintains complex, reusable application components on one or more platforms with proven to new technologies.

Develops the installation, use, maintenance and support documentation for complex components. Involved with beta site support, customer and customer support training and documentation review.

Develops test scenarios. Performs component testing and participates in the review of regression, systems, and stress testing and code promotion. May lead the application quality and reliability processes involving the addressing, isolating, tracking and reporting of problems through resolution. Proficiency and experience in producing management reports.

Responsible for the definition of reusable application components and/or design, development, and maintenance in a medium size/ complexity application(s)/product(s). Analyzes functional specifications. Conducts feasibility studies and develops prototypes of potential solutions.

Analyzes and reports product deficiencies or needed enhancements to marketing or hardware/software development groups as necessary. Ability to identify and solve problems quickly and makes recommendations for solution.

Works as a team member taking direction and learning from Team lead or more experienced team members. Solves problems based on precedent and procedures.

Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
