Job description

Advisory Software Engineer, IBM Corporation, New York, NY: Add new features to web applications. Contribute code across the software stack, including back-end, database management, and data normalization. Participate and contribute in technical planning and architecture discussions. Create proactive plans to ensure that only high quality, low-defect, features are delivered. Assist in triage and create and execute preventative plans. Utilize Java, NodeJS, Javascript, Apache Cassandra, Apache Solr, Python and Docker. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or related. One year of experience must include utilizing Java, NodeJS, Javascript, Apache Cassandra, Apache Solr, Python and Docker. Full time. R117.
