Job description

After opening Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht in October 2012 and Hyatt Place in January 2014, we are opening our third Hyatt hotel in Amsterdam: Hyatt Regency Amsterdam, the place to connect!

Hyatt Regency Amsterdam will offer 211 guestrooms, including 13 suites, one Regency Executive Suite and one Presidential Suite. The hotel will feature meeting and ballroom space, a restaurant, bar and fitness center. The restaurant and bar, inspired by a Dutch Grand Cafe in Indonesia, will offer culinary specialties, with Dutch and Indonesian influences.

As our newest Hyatt addition is to be opened in spring next year, we are looking for a passionate colleague who will join our Kitchen team. In this role you will report directly to the Head Chef. The Chef de Partie is responsible for organizing and setting up the assigned section of the Restaurant Kitchen as efficiently as possible, in order to prepare a consistent, high quality product and ensure courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service. You will be a key member of our opening team by making sure that we are well prepared for the welcoming of our guests! Not one day will be the same!

Desired profile

·  Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Putting effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality

· Ensuring adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations

· Support the entire kitchen team when needed

· Ensuring that all dishes from the dedicated section are prepared consistently and according to standard recipes. 　

Profile

· Minimum 1 years work experience as Chef de Partie in a large restaurant with good standards

· Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure

· Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes

· Knowledge on local products and Indonesian cuisine is an advantage

· A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast paced customer service environment

· Ability to work a flexible schedule

· Must have work permit for the Netherlands
