4+ years of experience (atleast 3 years in core automation)
Responsible for delivering Functional Testing
Manage day-to-day activities of the test pod. (Test Pod also includes functional specialist).
Liaising with Business Analyst, Product Owner to understand the business importance of delivering the change. Be able to confidently counter requirements & proposed solution.
Undertake risk assessment on change requirements in collaboration with business & Engineering teams.
Ensuring the right things are being tested by ensuring the coverage sufficiently covers the risk areas identified.
Participate in Sprint planning sessions & be able to provide sequencing for user story development to enable Test progress within the sprint
Provide an informed view into test estimation activity, underpinned by knowledge of the application, domain and testing experience.
Defining High level Test scope for functional area allocated to the Pod (includes sections of test plan)
Perform requirement Analysis; automate Scenarios,Scripts Design; Review and Rework
Defect Triage Help direct and prioritize pretriage within testing team, and as required, Triage within the defect management process.
Conduct and review impact assessment against new and or incremental change.
To conduct static reviews of Business requirements and design documents.
Document & execute E2E test execution
Flexible to work in in-sprint automation testing.
Ensuring various regression packs are designed in sync with the releases and contribute to maintenance of those regression pack.
Support test transformation initiatives; reflect continuous improvement & implement best in class practices fit for the programme.

Identify opportunities to improve process in test automation & automation framework.
Customers / Stakeholder Management
Engaging all relevant stakeholders to maintain visibility on test coverage.
Role will have global responsibility, often supporting multiple projects/programme running under HSBCnet.
Risk and Compliance Management
Analyze, anticipate and mitigate risk factors and work with the team and stakeholders to minimize risk.
Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars) and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behavior.

Experience & Qualification:
· Degree or similar educated
· Understanding of Automated test framework
· 3+ years of core automation experience required
· Ability to self-manage & efficiently prioritise activities in hand with minimum supervision
· Working Experience required for Atlassian JIRA
· Experience of working with distributed (onshore/ offshore) teams
Knowledge & Skills:
· Should have past experience of working on Payments systems & strong Payments domain knowledge (knowledge for at least for 1 region or country preferred)
· Working knowledge of Cucumber, Selenium and BDD framework required
· Should have working knowledge on Java & Code version control application such as GITHUB
· Be able to efficiently articulate business flows with Product owner & Business analyst.
· Personality: Proactive and flexible
· Strong communication skills both written and verbal
