Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC's global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world's leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

We work in small, agile DevOps teams with colleagues around the world from our offices at the Bluefin Building in Southwark, our global headquarters in Canary Wharf, and multiple other locations around the UK including Sheffield, Leeds, Barnsley and Birmingham.

Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2019 and beyond, we are currently seeking a Project Manager to join HSBC Technology.

Technology Project Management and Business Analysis jobs are accountable for successful delivery of Technology projects and ensuring Business Analysis activities are completed in line with BA standards. Project outputs may form part of a technology-based change programme, delivery of a technology-only Programme, or may be standalone.

The scope of projects may be global and may span multiple HSBC business areas.

What you will be doing;

Responsible for managing the requirements and for designing fit for purpose processes that are engineered to maximise reuse and minimise local market variation.

Ensure thorough analysis of business requirements is conducted to ensure these requirements are articulated clearly to mitigate the risk that requirements will be misunderstood, delivered incorrectly, duplicated across other workstreams and the projects not delivered on time

·
Contributing to the project approach, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments and changes

·
Ensure Business Analysis activities (As Is, To Be process mapping, User Story creation and refinement) are included in overall project planning activities

·
Be the central point of contact for local market BAs

·
Supporting Technology teams to manage delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, resourcing, dependencies, communications, budget

Qualifications :

What you will bring to the role;

· 
Providing management to maintain a focus on how the project aligns to wider programme objectives, where appropriate, and to the change portfolio across HSBC

· 
Managing, monitoring and reporting progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the programme management, internal stakeholders and/or steering committees. Also, making recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation

· 
Enforcing process discipline and improvements in areas of expertise, such as disciplined agile software delivery, production support processes and continuous DevOps pipelines development

· 
Ensuring adherence to standard controls and driving teams to achieve compliance and framework, capability management, Security controls and technology architecture designs

· 
Establishing effective governance and controls, in line with Business Transformation Framework, and co-ordinating cross DevOps and cross Global Business/Global Functions delivery

These roles will primarily be London at our Park Street office in Southward but some travel may be required .
