Role Context

Client Services provides the solutions and services that enable HSBC staff and systems to operate and communicate on a daily basis. Client Services consists of Engineering teams, Product Management teams, Regional Implementation, Delivery & Support (IDS) teams & Client Support and Delivery function. Client Services acts as the face of IT Infrastructure Delivery to HSBC internal customers.

Client Platforms is one of the Client Services' engineering teams. It owns the builds and associated infrastructure for the bank's PCs and ATMs; it also owns the Application Delivery and Asset Management functions that allows for software to be delivered to the bank's PCs.

This role is an individual contributor role as a Senior System Administrator within the Windows Systems Management (WSM) domain within Client Platforms. Windows Systems Management is a Global team which is responsible for Engineering & Support of Microsoft SCCM & Adaptiva Infrastructure that supports the HSBC's Windows estate on Laptops, Desktops, Servers & Self-Service Devices; Engineering of infrastructure tools used across in the Windows Desktop, Laptop & Self-Service estate and the Windows Laptop & Desktop OS Build processes

Detailed Job Description

·
Perform SCCM infrastructure upgrades, configuration, support and maintenance. Take lead to drive other teams for new initiatives related to SCCM.

Provide 24 x7 support on SCCM service following a global Rota and follow-the-sun support.

·
Proactively plan and manage the upgrade of SCCM servers and SCCM clients.

·
Perform performance tuning and capacity planning for SCCM infrastructure.

·
Adhere to internal process to support the service, including change management, and incident management policy.

·
Responsible for the troubleshooting of incidents, including joining crisis call and working with teams and vendors for a resolution.

·
Ensures that SCCM infrastructure meets the service availability metrics by monitoring SCCM and Adaptiva services, client healthiness, performance tuning and capacity planning & troubleshooting advanced SCCM related issues.

Ensure appropriate documentation is created or kept up to date.

Qualifications :

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications.

· 
4 to 7 years of relevant IT experience, with minimum 4 years of strong SCCM knowledge with proven experience in supporting SCCM infrastructure & Windows OS in large enterprise environment.

· 
Experience in managing infrastructure - Windows OS, SQL Database

· 
In-depth knowledge in Windows server and desktop OS, WSUS and SQL server.

· 
Knowledge in Storage, and Network Technologies

· 
Good knowledge of scripting and development e.g. VB script, PowerShell

· 
Experience in supporting Adaptiva would be an added advantage

· 
Effective and clear communication skills (written, oral and listening), with ability to describe complex technical scenarios in a concise manner depending on the audience.

· 
Proven ability to work across geographies and time zones with a variety of teams.

· 
Strong sense of ownership & urgency, ability to prioritize , attention to detail, flexibility, sense of vigilance & adherence to all compliance procedures & policies.

· 
Knowledge of Service management techniques including incident, problem, change, release management

· 
Ability to work under stress to deliver projects and handle critical system incidents

Working Hours

· 
This role is part of a Global SCCM Infrastructure Support team that provides 24x7 support. Candidates are expected to have a flexible approach in working and often required to work in shifts and weekends.

· 
Regular working days are from Mon to Fri or 5 days working depending upon the shift.

· 
Candidates are required to be able provide on call support during weekends or non-business hours based on Rota.
