Role Title: Software Engineer

Business: Global Liquidity and Cash Management

Role Purpose / Description

l Provide technical expertise on analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance and support of HSBC GLCM system.

l Ensure that systems are implemented in accordance with IT standards.

l Maintain close communication with business users / IT teams and coordinate IT-related stakeholder activities

l Ensure system complies with group policies and standards

Investigate and resolve problems arising in connection with IT services

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

l University-level degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field. Qualification in related business discipline is an advantage

l 2+ years software development work experience, self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven fast learner

l Specialized experience in mainframe related development and support (has basic knowledge for COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, Assembler, etc) or Java related development and support in unix / linux platform (has basic knowledge for shell script, control-M, Oracle DB, SQL, etc.) would be an advantage.

l Effective English communication (reading, writing, speaking and listening) (CET-6 or above), Cantonese (listening and speaking) would be an advantage

l Exposure to all stages of the application development process, from design, development, testing, through to implementation and training

l Good understanding of business requirements and able to provide solutions to customers promptly

l Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills

l Weekend support might be required according to actual need
