Designation - Software Engineer

Purpose of the Job (overall high level summary of the job)

To assists in the delivery of assigned projects. The job holder will work across Domains within their region and contributes to, and in some cases leads the design and development of projects that are aligned with Group standards, IT and business strategy, meet business objectives and satisfy all relevant regulatory and operational risk controls. The Senior Engineer also contributes to the development of Group standards, and identifies and implements new practices, processes and technologies where required.

· The Development Engineering job is responsible for developing the most appropriate very complex Technology solutions using iterative software development/programming in line with the solution design, to meet customer needs, ensuring continuous improvement with responsibility to write the unit & integration tests performed by Test Engineers.
· Ensuring compliance with all relevant controls and standards including relevant Service Management Standards, and ensure high data quality exists in Service Management systems of record
· Providing support in the identification, root cause analysis and eradication of problems associated with the Technology service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.
· Providing Support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the Technology service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.

· Design and develop systems that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations for both functional and non-functional requirements.
· Deliver solutions in line with the program strategy and adopt FSA technologies. Leverage on existing solutions if any.
· Share and learn from the project experience effectively.

Co-ordinate with the application / engineering SMEs to understand and resolve application complexities on the solutions proposed.

Operations Delivery Management

Drive operations and best practices. Adhere to governance frameworks. Manage risks, issues and dependencies.

Customers / Stakeholder Management

Will ordinarily support across a single Triage team, and within the DevOps team.

Risk and Compliance Management

Analyze, anticipate and mitigate risk factors and work with the team to minimize risk.

Service Reviews and Reporting

Should support the project team through out the life cycle of the project.

Leadership & Teamwork

Actively contributes to a positive work environment.Translate the required course of action into a clear and realistic vision. Monitor complex dependencies and respond accordingly to ensure on-going delivery in line with customers goals.

· Keep the knowledge updated with the evolving technology and the organizational strategies.
· Gaining good knowledge quickly on various distributed systems globally while working on various projects.

Experience & Qualification:

· Should have minimum 3 years of experience in java/j2ee,webservices with knowldge in FSA technologies, particularly, java based technologies like mule, databases like mongo and scripting languages like node and react.

Knowledge & Skills:

· Self-organized and self-starter to appropriately prioritize and plan his complex work in a rapidly changing environment.
· Results oriented with strong conceptual and analytical skill and problem solving aptitude.
· Team player with experience collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
· A minimum of 3 years as developer ideally for a major consultancy.
