We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as IFRS17 Actuarial Analyst - HSBC Insurance - 18-month contract.

Principal Responsibilities

· Run the models for the IFRS 17 valuation of insurance contracts
· Assistance with calculation of IFRS 17 transition balance sheet items
· Validate historical data for the transition calculation
· Conduct analysis of movement of key metrics to provide management information
· Ensure IFRS 17 actuarial models for the entity comply with HSBC’s model risk policy

Qualifications :

Requirements

· 
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject

· 
Actuarial student making good progress with the actuarial examination from an International Actuarial Association recognized actuarial body

· 
Knowledge of running Prophet models is a plus

· 
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability of planning and problem solving.

· 
Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.

· 
Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders.

· 
Strong communication skills - applicable through multiple channels (written, spoken, workshops, presentations)

· 
Can work analytically and innovatively
