Banking Internship

For: Diploma and University Graduates

Duration: 6 months

Areas: Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM)

Branch Location: West and Musandem Region – Sininah Branch

Description: This 6-month internship offers diploma and university degree holders exposure to customer service roles in a Branch banking environment, preparing you for a successful banking career.

What you can expect: You will complete a week of induction followed by a 24-week placement in a Branch, contributing to servicing advance and personal banking customers. You will be constantly learning about the products and services we offer, and seeing how we provide a high-quality and holistic service with prompt completion of customer service requests.

You'll have every opportunity to showcase your potential and gain the hands-on experience to launch a banking career at HSBC. Learning, development and support

An induction will give you an overview of HSBC, our business and culture, and how Personal Banking fits into the overall structure. After this, your placement will provide you with a combination of practical experience and on-line training. This will help you to develop your technical skills and give you a detailed insight into our business.

At the beginning of your internship, you'll be set measurable objectives and you'll receive feedback throughout the 6-months. There will be many people you can call on for support. Your manager will be able to give you guidance on your career options. You'll be assigned a buddy who will help you to get the most out of the experience, share ideas with and who you can call on for advice.

You can also volunteer to take part in community initiatives, which could help you to add value to the communities in which we work.

What you'll need: To be considered for the internship, you should have a Diploma or University degree and:

· Have outstanding interpersonal skills.
· Have strong communication skills in English and Arabic.
· Have high standards of behaviour.
· Be self-motivated, confident and willing to take on new challenges.
· Be proactive and enjoys problem solving.
