Global Banking & Markets Analyst - Business Academy - Kuwaiti Nationals Only

Role Purpose:

* Provide proactive business development support to Associate/Associate Director, and Head of

Global Banking, in all aspects of the client portfolio to achieve their targets.

* Manage key stakeholder relationships to ensure timely resolution of any issues escalated for

the attention of Relationship Managers.

* Supporting the overall Global Markets strategy in maximizing the shareholders return and

preserve the reputation of the business in all respects.

* Contribute by reassessing the operational risks inherent within the business, taking account of

changing economic or market conditions.

Key Accountabilities:

* Support RMs in driving achievement against targets for revenue generation, product alignment,

client satisfaction and cost containment.

* Build the Global Banking franchise value/reputation in the market place.

* To maintain effective control of credit and risk within the Treasury environment, working within

approved limits, and controls Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct

maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.

* Collaborate with Sales & Business Development (“SBD”) and FIG colleagues to seek new

revenue opportunities in line with HSS / FIG strategy and commercial / risk filters

* Contribute to business development and relationship management of in country targets and

relationships in Kuwait

* Handling clients' queries and making sure they are logged and replied on a priority basis within

24 hours.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications:




* Strong market experience and knowledge of the Kuwait market and to a lesser extent of the

MENA region, Global Banking.

* A good understanding of global financial markets, banking and Treasury products, and their

accounting/risk profile. Strong business development skills

* Prior experience in managing Fund Services and/or Global Custody business will be an added

advantage.
* Strong analytical skills

* Strong financial analysis capability, accounting degree preferred

* Ability to undertake in depth review of industry, competitors, client and products and provide a

high quality analysis of Credit risk.

* Knowledge of banking regulatory evolutions

* Ability to develop good working partnerships with credit and product areas

* Ability to provide marketing support to Relationship Managers

* Ability to establish rapport with appropriate members of client's management team

* Ability to provide good analytical support to Relationship Managers

* Strong IT skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)

* Ability to research and develop themes for business meetings

* Knowledge of the full spectrum of Global Banking & Markets, Liquidity & Cash Management,

Trade & Receivables and Markets products

* Knowledge of HSBC Group organization structures, credit and reporting systems

* Good verbal and written communication skills

* Strong team player
