Functional Trainee – Customer Due Diligence

Hang Seng's Commercial Banking (CMB) business provides customized one-stop financial solutions to our corporate customers, from prime small and medium-sized businesses to publicly listed companies.

For customers conducting business locally or around the world, we offer a comprehensive range of services including corporate lending, trade and receivables finance, structured loan, cash management, investment, treasury services, insurance and e-Banking services. As a reliable financial partner, we attend to the specific business needs of our customers and provide efficient tailor-made banking solutions through our relationship managers and dedicated specialists.

We are currently seeking high caliber professionals to join our department as Functional Trainee. Upon completion of a 30 to 36 months program, the Functional Trainee should become a competent Assistant Customer Due Diligence Manager who will complete professional assessment on Financial Crime Risk during Customer Due Diligence Review with an aim to comply with the regulatory and Group requirements.

Principal responsibilities
· Engage existing corporate customers in the collection of detailed customer information and supporting documentation required for Customer Due Diligence (CDD) review
· Act as the focal point for CDD information clarification among Relationship Manager, customers, CDD operations and Compliance
· Participate in CDD related process reviews with an aim to comply with regulatory or policy changes, as well as to improve customer experience and service turnaround time
· Ensure the completeness of CDD information and supporting documentation before submitting the CDD profile for review and approval
· Handle customer enquiries related to CDD review
· Provide administrative support in CDD review process

Qualifications :

Requirements

·  Fresh graduates in Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline preferred
·  Bachelor Degree or above with 1-2 years of working experience in providing administrative support in banking or professional firms
·  Sound communication skills, organized, attention to details and ability to deliver within challenging time scale
·  Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
·  Proficiency in spoken English and Cantonese, as well as written English and Chinese. Mandarin is highly preferred
·  Strong interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills
