Role Purpose
· Operate as a point of accountability for executing an effective framework with the deployment of an integrated approach to manage operational risk and internal control for Wealth, Customer Value Management and Direct Channels
· Provide advice and guidance on the maintenance of an effective internal control environment.
· Have a good understanding of both Retail and Wealth Products in RBWM
· Execute control monitoring and testing programme based on business requirements.
· Reporting control monitoring and performance data to local management and committees.
· Creating and amending RCA outputs for RBWM distribution particularly the details of key controls

Job Responsibility
· Maintain an effective operational risk framework in the Business as first line of defense, in line with Group Standards and local regulatory requirements.
· Execute the deployment of an integrated approach to provide a common platform to manage operational risk and internal control.
· To support a culture within the Business that acknowledges the requirement for effective management of operational risk and internal control.
· Assess and report on the adequacy of operational risk and internal control environment across the Business.
· To work effectively with the Country Operational Risk team, and Country business/functional heads.
· Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
· To support and ensure that local management fully considers and effectively manages operational risk in accordance with established policies and procedures.
· Support management in maintaining OR relationship with the regulator(s), as required
· To oversee that operational processes are operating and that a robust internal control environment is in place throughout the Business, commensurate with the volume/scale of operations.
· Ensure cost discipline is adhered to, rationalise and consolidate Risk expense
· Effectiveness of Operational Risk frameworks

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Knowledge & Skill
·  Experience in operational risk management.
·  Banking experience with an understanding of banking activities, products, processes and systems
·  An understanding of other areas of risk e.g. credit, market.
·  Knowledge of regulatory environment in the financial services sector.
·  Exposure to an operations and a control environment, such as audit or compliance preferred.
·  Able to conceptualise the operational impact of business change.
·  Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
·  Ability to understand complex concepts.
·  Understanding of modeling techniques and analytics in respect of Operational Risk.
·  Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines.
